Educational and Entertaining

We have a strict definition for what we consider to be educational and entertaining.  Other authors will write a non-fiction book full of educational content, and then they try to add some humor to make it entertaining.  This is not edutainment according to our standards.  Entertainment is at the core of our works, not an after-thought.  A good test is to take out all of the educational content from your work and see if what is left is a coherent story.  A good example of edutainment would be an exciting mystery novel that teaches material for a standardized test.

That is a good question.  Ludus Media is very selective with the works we take on, so the ones we accept will get a lot of attention.  We specialize in edutainment.  We do not charge any fees.  Unlike other publishing companies, we take responsibility for the majority of marketing efforts so that our interests are aligned with yours.

Requirements for Applying

The work must meet our definition of educational and entertaining.  It must have been reviewed by at least one professional editor and three test-readers.  Your work must appeal to a specific niche market which has a need and desire to buy your book.  It should be targeted toward young adults and/or adults.  You should be confident that your book can become a best-seller and be willing to work hard to make that happen.  We are also open to other media besides books.
